Birding Estonia is the trading name of the Estonian limited company OÜ Buonapel, founded in 2000, registered Estonian tour operator - number TRE000470.

Once you book a holiday with us the conditions set out below form the contract between us. Please read them carefully.

What is included

Our tours are generally scheduled for 3 days from Friday morning through to Sunday evening. You are expected to arrive in Tallinn on Thursday and depart home from Tallinn on Monday. At present we are unable to arrange your travel to and from Tallinn and you will need to make your own arrangements. We are happy to advise you on the options available.
The price for the tour includes accommodation on the day of arrival in Tallinn and for each subsequent day of the tour up to but not including the day of departure from Tallinn.
The price includes all meals during the tour starting from the evening meal on the day of arrival in Tallinn up to and including breakfast on the day of departure.
The price also includes transportation (including to and from the airport or ferry terminal), entrance fees and leader services.
The tour price excludes drinks (other than those provided), à la carte dishes, snacks, laundry, telephone calls, private excursions, and anything else of a purely personal nature, including taxes, service charges and tips relating to such items. In addition, should you decide not to accompany the group for some reason, you are responsible for the extra cost of any meals taken while the rest of the group is eating elsewhere.

Once the booking has been confirmed, the deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances, unless we have to cancel the holiday due to low numbers of clients or other unforeseen circumstances. We reserve the right to decline to accept a booking at our own discretion.

The balance must be paid at least 2 weeks before the starting date of the tour. If the balance fails to reach us by that date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund.

Cancellation Charges

You may cancel your booking at any stage. Cancellations must be made in writing (sent by email or fax), and will be deemed to be made on the date on which we receive the written cancellation. You will forfeit any deposit you have paid.
If you cancel after the balance is due, you will forfeit the deposit and a cancellation charge equal to the balance due.

Changes to Tours

The tour descriptions and itineraries on our website are meant only as a guide. In some cases, for example, due to changes to flight schedules or inclement weather we may decide to make changes to the itinerary. We will only make changes when necessary and will endeavour to ensure we provide an enjoyable experience.
We may have to cancel your holiday in the event of unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside our control: for example, technical or maintenance problems with transport, changes imposed by rescheduling or cancellation by air or sea carriers, government action, industrial dispute, war or threat of war, civil strife, terrorist activity, riot, natural or man-made disaster, or severe weather conditions. In the event that we have to cancel a holiday due to circumstances outside our control we shall refund the full holiday cost to you.

Single rooms

We will always try to accommodate clients who request single rooms, but this is not always possible, and clients may be asked to share for all or part of the holiday. In this case we will of course not charge the single room supplement for the portion of the holiday where the room is shared. We will also try to accommodate clients travelling on their own but wishing to share, but if there is no other single person on the tour willing also to share we will have to charge the single room supplement.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance which should include cover for medical/repatriation expenses and for cancellation/curtailment charges in the event you have to cancel due to the illness of yourself, a travelling companion or a close relative.

Restrictions

We reserve the right to remove from the tour any person unable or unwilling to conduct themselves in a manner compatible with the satisfactory operation of the holiday. In this event we will make no refund, nor be liable to pay any compensation, and any additional travel costs involved in returning home are your own responsibility.
We ask you not to smoke in any vehicle we use, when in close company with other members of the group, or anywhere where there may be a fire risk.
Our tours may not be suitable for people with certain disabilities and medical conditions. Please ask us if in any doubt. In any case, if you suffer from any disability or medical condition which may affect the running of the tour, you must provide us with full details before the balance is due. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if such details are not provided. We reserve the right to decline a booking if we feel you will not unable to participate satisfactorily.

Complaints

In the unlikely event that you have cause for complaint you should notify one of the leaders as soon as possible so that we may do our best to assist you. If a problem remains unresolved in spite of prompt notification then you should make a complaint in writing to our office within 28 days of the completion of the holiday.
